Halloween's gonna be pretty different this year, thanks to COVID. Sure, a lot of people would already be wearing masks anyway, but I'm betting trick-or-treating isn't gonna be as popular an activity, and most parties will either be much smaller or not happen at all. The CDC even had to release their guidelines, discussing the risk in various Halloween activities.

It's still a month away, so who knows what things will look like around the country and in Missoula by then. But Westside Lanes is planning a Halloween party for kids this year, and it looks like it'll be a pretty fun time.

Here's what's included in the party, taken from their Facebook event page:

KIDS! Celebrate Halloween! Youth Halloween Party! $20.00 per person, includes: Thunder Alley Bowling, Halloween videos, 2 games bowling, shoe rental, 2 slices pizza or hot dog, soda, candy, costume contest. No more than 5 per lane. Masks are required

I've been back to Westside Lanes a couple of times since it reopened, and from what I've seen, they've been doing a good job with social distancing - keeping every other lane open, leaving balls and shoes after customers leave so they can be disinfected, that kind of thing. It definitely seems like a good alternative instead of taking the kids trick-or-treating this year.

Think you'll want to check this out? If you want to know how safe it is for Halloween activities in Missoula, you can check out this interactive map that Hershey put together for every county in the US. The Westside Lanes youth party will be happening on October 31st from 4 to 8 PM.
