Guys, I'm gonna come out and say it - seltzer is gross. It's just water that tastes weird. Maybe that's an unpopular opinion, but I stand by it. But as somebody who enjoys most kinds of alcoholic beverages, I figured I should try hard seltzer when it started to become a really big thing (White Claw came on the market in 2016, so it was probably a little bit after that).

Anyway, I tried a White Claw. I hated it. I tried a different flavor of White Claw. I hated that too. I tried many, many times to like hard seltzer, but I just can't do it. I don't see the appeal at all. I know there are people who don't like beer that see seltzer as an alternative, but like, have a cider! It's way better!

But the seltzer train keeps rolling and there's no stopping it. Over the last few weeks, a few major companies like Natural Light and Pabst Blue Ribbon have announced their own hard seltzers, and now even Four Loko is getting in on the craze, ensuring that underage college freshmen will somehow be even more obnoxious (I speak from experience on that one).

Are you a hard seltzer fan? Is there one out there that might change my mind? Or are you with me and think it's sort of the grossest drink out there right now?
