It's been many moons since we've seen our favorite Missoulians on skates. The group was kind of hanging by a thread before the pandemic and we didn't know if Hellgate Rollerderby would be making a comeback. Lemme rephrase that. They are complete badasses and we KNEW they would make a triumphant return, we just didn't know when. And now we have an update to share!

First, Hellgate Rollerderby has found a new practice space, and it's in a rad spot. 500 East Spruce, across from the incredible Canvas Studio and near the tracks, for that authentic MIssoula vibe. They currently have an adult league and 2 junior leagues, and anyone ages 6 and up can join. Really, anyone. You don't have to be traditionally athletic, young, or even know how to skate. You just have to be someone who wants to join a team of incredible Missoulians and not be a dick, honestly. Reach out here if you'd like to go to a practice or speak with a member to learn more.

Also, they have room to share the new practice space. If you're looking for a multi-use space from Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., this space could be open to you. For more info contact hello@hellgaterollerderby.org

HGRD needs to raise some funds for a new season so they're having a league wide yard sale on Monday, Labor Day, that's open to the public! It's at the new space 500 East Spruce from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Find treasures donated by the skaters and pick up a tasty treat from their bake sale! All proceeds help to keep roller derby alive and well in Missoula! A message from HGRD:

In accordance with CDC recommendations we ask that all visitors coming into the practice space wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status, and maintain social distancing whenever possible. Thank you for helping us keep our skaters and community safe and healthy.
