Halloween is coming up, and that means we're all getting in a spooky kind of mood. Wherever you live, you're probably aware of a couple of local urban legends that get passed down through the generations. The haunted theaters, the ghost-infested apartments, the mysterious footprints that appear at the full moon in the graveyard, that kind of thing.

Thrillist just put together a list of the best places to scare the crap out of yourself in every single state in the US. So which haunted attraction did they pick for Montana?

That would be the Fairweather Inn, located in Virginia City. Here's what they said about it:

If you’ve ever been borderline homicidal because the kids in the next hotel room won’t shut the hell up, steer clear of the Fairweather Inn. The lone hotel in this former gold mining town is said to be haunted by the ghosts of children who get into all manner of shenanigans. They move your luggage, turn the lights on and off, and generally annoy the bejeezus out of you. The city’s now-closed Bonanza Inn was also said to be haunted -- by the ghost of an old nun, who was presumably better-behaved.

Uh, yeah, that sounds pretty spooky. You ready to make the drive down and see for youself?
