I was hanging with my sister last month and we got on the subject of 80's and 90's sitcoms that we miss. Full House, Step by Step, Pefrect Strangers, Whos The Boss?, Alf, Night Court, Punky Brewster.......the list goes on and on. That led to a couple rounds of singing those awesome theme songs that never get old. I mean, when someone starts the lyrics to the song from Growing Pains or Mr. Belvedere - I'm pretty sure it's a law that you have to join in.

These days we're all spoiled with Hulu, Netflix, and every other streaming device that lets us watch our shows on demand. Don't get me wrong, I like to binge episodes as much as the next person, but today's generation will never know the pain of having to catch their favorite show at the exact time it airs or be left to wonder what happened. That'll for sure be one of the "back in my day" stories that I tell my kids!

I saw this story and had a "we were just talking about the old shows" moment. I'm not sure how it came to be - the website for Coventry Direct appears to be where you can purchase life insurance - but for some reason they also posted an article about "The Most Popular Classic TV Show in Every State." The titles go back a bit further than the shows I was talking about but there's still some great stuff on the list.

What state had Golden Girls as a favorite? How about Gilligan's Island, The Brady Bunch or the old Batman series?

Google Trends data from last year was used to show the most searched classic tv shows in every state over that time. You can check out the details of the process as well as the winners of each state HERE.

40 different shows coming in first in at least one state and no shows taking the top spot in more than four states. The top overall shows were The Brady Bunch and The Addams Family.

As for us? It looks like we've had some serious internet searches for Mork & Minday. The show took the top spot in Montana and we were the only state to make that claim. Well then......Nanu Nanu.
