Food is great. In my opinion, if we didn't eat food, we might literally die or something! And the evolution of food over the years is a subject that fascinates me. Thrillist just published an article ranking the biggest achievements in food in every state in the US.

And there were some surprises! Like did you know sliced bread came from Iowa? Or that M&Ms were created in New Jersey? Or that girl scout cookies got their start in Oklahoma?

So what's Montana's big culinary contribution to the culture? According to the list, the answer is bison - they say that Montana was at the forefront of popularizing it as a leaner alternative to beef.
