There's been a lot of talk about the inauguration of Joe Biden as President of the United States, which is taking place tomorrow - Wednesday, January 20th, 2021. As is often the case with these kinds of things, a lot of big musical artists are going to be performing throughout the day - Lady Gaga, Foo Fighters, Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovatio, Bruce Springsteen... the list goes on. But one thing that caught my attention - and one it took me a second to really believe was happening - was this: New Radicals are reuniting to perform at the inauguration.

If you're not familiar with the name New Radicals, it's probably because they're best known as a one-hit wonder band, known for their song "You Get What You Give." In the late '90s, they put out one album, Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too, and then called it quits. They haven't performed or released any new music since 1999.

And now, they're back! Who knew Joe Biden was such a huge New Radicals fan that he could get them to reunite after 20 years just to play his inauguration? So that got me thinking: if I were somehow going to become the next President of the United States (which, believe me, a LOT would have to go wrong for the country to get that desperate), which long-dormant band would I try to reunite to play as I got sworn in?

If I had posed this question not that long ago, I would have said My Chemical Romance... but they already got back together and plan to go on tour when the pandemic is over. I may have also said Rage Against The Machine... but like, same deal. So who am I gonna pick?

I'm thinking my choice would either be R.E.M. or The White Stripes. Heck, maybe both! I'm the president, I deserve a Michael Stipe and Jack White duet, it's gonna be rad. So who's your pick? If you could get any band to reunite for one show to play your inauguration, who would you want it to be?
