Volunteers are needed to help with the eighth annual Blackfoot River Cleanup this Saturday. Bring your own boat if you have one, and shuttles and rafts will also be available for cleanup participants. Volunteers can also help by walking and wading to pick up debris from the river bank and access sites.

Interested participants should meet at Johnsrud Fishing Access Site. Those bringing rafts, snorkelers or scuba divers should meet at 8a.m.  All other participants should gather at 9a.m. To reach the site, travel approximately 10 miles east of Bonner on Highway 200 and then turn on the Johnsrud Park Road and for one half mile. A free barbeque for volunteers will be held at the Johnsrud site  following the cleanup until 5p.m.

Just a reminder to our listeners, if you are floating this river make sure to clean up after yourself! Pick up your beer cans and garbage and help keep this highly trafficked area beautiful.
