VSAP, XSports4Vets, and the Rocky Mountain Museum of Military History are hosting a half marathon and family fun day coming up this May in Missoula. If you're not familiar, VSAP is 'Veteran Suicide Awareness & Prevention' - they help build community, which is one way to help combat suicide. As you likely know, Montana consistently has one of the highest suicide rates in the nation, per capita. This event will help raise awareness and promote prevention about this epidemic by bring the community together to memorialize those lost, and let Veterans, their friends, and families know they are not alone. All Veterans, service members, their families and caregivers are invited to this special event!

On Saturday, May 15th starting at 10 a.m., the day will begin with an opening ceremony, followed by registration for the half marathon run/walk. Free lunch will begin at 11 a.m., thanks to a very kind donation from the AARP, along with a few hours of "open air" fun until 4 p.m. Including activities for the kids, a Civil War Re-enactment, music, silent auction, presentations by Service Providers & Veteran Owned Businesses, and an open house inside the Rocky Mountain Museum of Military History. The events and Museum are located at Building T-316 at Fort Missoula.
