Students from 17 Montana and Idaho high schools will be paying a visit to Missoula next week.

The 55th annual Model United Nations Conference will be at the University of Montana on Monday and Tuesday, November 25-26. At the conference, 312 students will represent 110 of the United Nations' 193 member states, debating and writing resolutions  addressing international issues. Students will participate in five separate committees, each staffed by a team of UM students from the Political Science Department's Model United Nations class.

All events and ceremonies will be held in the University Center on the UM campus. Opening ceremonies are at 8:30 a.m. Monday in the UC North Ballroom. Model U.N. activities will be on the third floor of the UC. Awards presentations and closing ceremonies  are on Tuesday afternoon.

All events are free and open to the public. We welcome these outstanding young people to Missoula.
