Celebrations again this week in Hamilton as the Hamilton Bronc football team overwhelmed another Class A team and ran their season record to 6 and 0. Hamilton defeated Butte Central 54 to 21. The Broncs started the scoring with the usual Rostad to Rothie passing attack and then spread out the scoring, leading Butte Central at the end of the first quarter 21-0. Hamilton scored three more touchdowns in the second quarter and led 40 to 0 at the half. The 35-point rule in Montana high school football took hold then and the game clock kept running except for time-outs and injuries. The Broncs and Maroons traded scoring efforts in the last two quarters with the final score: Hamilton 54 Butte Central 21.

Meanwhile, the two teams Hamilton will meet in the final conference games played each other in Missoula, with Dillon beating Frenchtown 24 to 18. Dillon remains undefeated and Frenchtown now has one loss. Hamilton will visit Frenchtown next Friday and will host Dillon the following week. We'll have those games on KLYQ 1240 Radio and KLYQ.com and on the KLYQ app on your smartphone. It was a great homecoming week, with the King and Queen crowned at halftime - King Tyler Barnes and Homecoming Queen Jordan Taggart.
