Dating sucks. If you're single you know this already. I know I for one have heard, and even said a few times myself that, "people just don't date like they used to!" But why is that?!

Is it because we live in a digital age, where a potential "date" can decide who you are as a person, based on six photos and a bio under 200 characters, without ever having to actually meet you face-to-face?

Is it because women are stronger now than they have ever been, and it's too intimidating for a single guy to approach such a girl?

Is it because these strong women are waiting around for Mr. Prince Charming and won't settle for anything less than their fairy tale man?

To be honest, it's probably a combination of all of these scenarios, plus a few hundred more. I think deep down we're trying to get back to that old school love we've heard so much about. But that begs the question, how?!

Former Lady Griz basketball player, Megan Harrington, is a producer on the upcoming documentary called "The Dating Project." In the doc they feature normal people, like you and me, who are out there searching for their one true love. Their lobster if you will.

Half of America is single. People are frustrated in love, but does anyone really know how to connect in today’s virtual world? THE DATING PROJECT follows five single people, ages 18-40, as they search for authentic and meaningful relationships. There is no script. There are no actors. These are real people trying to find love and happiness in an age of swiping left or right.

The Dating Project is opening nationwide for one-night only on April 17th! And our girl Megan pulled a few strings and got the AMC theater off of Mullan, on that list!

So grab your single friends (or your mother who won't stop nagging you about being single and "not putting yourself out there enough") and find out if The Dating Project  found the answer as to why dating is so gosh darn hard! And if so, did they discover a solution to extract us from the singles table forever?! Fingers crossed...
