Providence Montana Health Foundation is presenting its third annual Team Up Montana Griz and Lady Griz Basketball games.

Manager of Operations Alice Gardner said Team Up Montana not only sponsors the annual cancer awareness Grizzly football game, but two UM basketball games as well.

"It's not just about fundraising, but it's also about raising awareness," Gardner said. "At the men's game coming up on February 5th against Eastern Washington, we are going to have a men's cancer awareness game. We're asking everyone to stop by the tables and get more information about cancer in men."

Just a week later, on February 12, Team Up Montana will sponsor the Lady Griz game against league-leading North Dakota..

"At that game we're honoring a family from a little ways out of Great Falls, and six out of the seven adult children have been affected by cancer," Gardner said. "Not all of them had the same kind of cancer, I think there was breast cancer and ovarian cancer. We've invited them to come down. Some live in Missoula and are even alumni of the University of Montana, and we're going to celebrate the fact that most of them are still with us, as we honor the sisters and brothers that they lost, while we bring awareness about men's and woman's cancer."

At both games, attendees will have the chance to purchase Team Up Montana apparel and merchandise with proceeds to benefit the Cancer Compassion Fund, managed by the Providence Montana Health Foundation.
