Every year since the New York Twin Towers fell on September 11 19 years ago, Stevensville has seen emergency vehicles parade silently down Main Street to remember those first-responders who died in their efforts to save others. This year, the quiet procession included the reading of the over 400 firefighters, police and other emergency personnel who lost their lives.

The Patriot Day ceremony at Stevensville's Veterans Park was followed by the unveiling and dedication of two new memorials at the park. American Legion Post 94 rebuilt the Tribute Wall to make it a memorial to those who lost their lives defending the nation. The Stevensville Garden Club then dedicated a new Gold Star Memorial to honor families who lost loved ones in service to the country (photos below). About 100 people attended the ceremonies at the park.
