Friday, June 22, and Saturday, June 23, Western Heritage Days takes over Stevensville with music, kids activities, historic tours and a parade. The Stevensville Main Street Association has organized lots of activities, including two Street Dances Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m., the Downtown Parade Saturday morning at 11 a.m., which features horses, horse-drawn vehicles and classic cars and farm equipment.

The Friday schedule has all-day Stevensville Museum Tours and specials at local businesses. An Arts and Crafts Fair will be at 3rd and Main starting at 4 p.m., along with a Food Court and Beer Garden. Pinegrass will play at the Street Dance. Groovs Dance Studio on Main will have pizza and a movie for the kids at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, the Chuck Wagon Camp will set up at 8 a.m. across the street from St. Mary's Mission. The Mission will have guided tours, starting at 10 a.m. The Chuck Wagon Camp will start serving food ($12 each) at 12:30 p.m. until food runs out. They will have food judging at 2 p.m. and a youth cook-off at 4 p.m. Kids games are planned from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Chuck Wagon Campfire Social will be at 6:30 p.m. with music, tall tales and cowboy poetry. The Salish music, dancing and kids activities will be from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The street dance will feature JD and the Western Front.

A new feature this year is the horse-drawn wagon ride to Fort Owen State Park. The information booth opens at 10 a.m. and the wagon tours will roll between Stevensville Ranger District office on North Main to the Fort from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bill LaCroix and The Good Dogs will have afternoon music downtown from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The beer garden is open Saturday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Model Trains are running in the Valley Drug basement Friday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from Noon to 4 p.m.
