A wide swath of celebrities, from Drake to Two Broke Girls' Kat Dennings, have shared their history with 27-year-old actor Anton Yelchin since he was found dead from an accident at his home on June 19. The cast of the J.J. Abrams-produced Star Trek films also mourned their costar, who by all accounts was deeply well-liked, on social media. And now several of the film's stars have canceled an upcoming promotional appearance out of reverence for their late friend.

Chris Pine, John Cho, Simon Pegg and Zachary Quinto were set to appear at a Star Trek Beyond talk at Cannes Lions, an eight-day entertainment and advertising conference that also features Will Smith and Ryan Seacrest as speakers this year. The actors released a joint statement through Paramount Pictures announcing that they weren't ready to participate.

"All of us are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend Anton Yelchin. Out of respect, we are withdrawing our participation in the previously announced Star Trek Beyond event at Cannes Lions this week," the message read (via THR).

J.J. Abrams, Karl Urban and Zoe Saldana also expressed sorrow following Sunday's news. Read their tributes to Yelchin below.
