There are some that say Montana has been practicing social distancing since 1889. If you think about it, a campfire (depending on the heat) can keep most people 6 feet away from each other. Another great Montana past time is fishing. And NO I'm not talking about shoulder to shoulder combat fishing on shore. I'm talking about enjoying some peace and quiet out on the water.

After 2 weeks of following the "stay-at-home" order, I finally could not take it anymore. I needed to get me and my kid outside. Thankfully, Gov. Bullock encourages Montanans to enjoy the great outdoors, just as long as we stay the minimum 6 feet away. So I figure "what better way to enjoy a nice Spring day, than to take my son fishing."

As it turns out, we have a good ol' buddy, The Captain of the Montana Outdoor Radio Show. He was also tired of being cooped up inside and suggested we take his boat out fishing. We grabbed our fishing gear and were soon on the road to the beautiful Gates of the Mountains near Helena.

The way we saw it, if either of us was going to get within the other persons 6ft "bubble" they were likely to get smacked with a fishing rod. After touring the gorgeous scenery of Holter Lake, we soon got down to fishing. The result was the memories that last a lifetime.

For the record: B-Rad outfished his Ol'Man AGAIN!
