For the second week in a row Missoula processed well over 20 felony cases, Missoula County Attorney Kirsten Pabst says three of those cases were assaults and two of those directly involved children.

"We had a partner/ family member assault where the defendant allegedly pushed down his partner and a child eventually had to intervene so she could get away and call police," Pabst said. "There was a strangulation case involving a strangulation and assault at the Walmart parking lot against a juvenile victim. The victim was able to escape and then ran inside Walmart to call 911."

There were a large number of administrative crimes, including charges like obstructing a peace officer and tampering with evidence, on top of a host of other infractions.

"There was a criminal endangerment case in which the defendant allegedly fired a some.45 caliber rounds near Lolo and very near people," Pabst said. "There was a felony DUI, a handful of property crimes: a conspiracy to commit theft, three actual theft cases and one burglary. A whole bunch of drug cases including six methamphetamine cases, one was a methamphetamine case with intent to sell."

The County Attorney’s office was busy right up to the end of the week, after law enforcement officers brought in six new felony cases. Pabst says all six came in on Thursday night, bringing the total number of felony cases to 26,
