Monday October 5th is the close of voter registration for the November 3rd municipal general election and there are a lot of hot issues on the ballot this year..

"On the Municipal General Election, we will have our city council member races that voters will see that live within the city limits," said Missoula Elections Office Administrator Rebecca Connors. "Then we also have a few bond and levy issues that are going to be on the ballot for voters that live in the Missoula County Public School District and Frenchtown School District."

If a voter moved from a past address or changed names and failed to respond to Missoula County Elections mailers, he or she may not be registered to vote this year. Connors says others voters may need to re-register as well.

"On odd number years, based off of the national voter registration act, which is a federal law, we are to go through and just do some maintenance on the voter registration database," Connors said. "If a voter did not vote in the November 2014 general election and then did not follow up with our subsequent mailings, then they are put in the cue for an inactivation."

In order to re-registered call the Missoula County Elections office at 258-4751. Also, late registration will be available at the Missoula County Fairgrounds.
