Have you spent the pandemic year pouring your emotions and time stuck at home into getting stronger? While many Americans spent the year binge watching Netflix, a lot of Missoulians spent the year kicking ass and getting into the best shape of their lives. If this is you, why not give this year's Triathlon a whirl and show off all of your hard work!
Missoula's annual YMCA Iron Will Triathlon is an Iron-distance triathlon made up of a 2.4-mile swim (which can be substituted, read further for more), a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile run/walk. The twist? As a participant, you'll have 45 days to complete the mileage requirements. The Iron Will is open to all fitness levels. So even if you were binging the Mandalorian instead of spinning, we have total faith in you!
Each finisher scores a nice long-sleeve, dri-fit shirt, allowing you to properly boast about your accomplishment. You're invited to complete the triathlon at the Y or at home, and if you are participating from home, you can substitute 750 pushups/pullups for your swim.
Registration is open now through December 31st, and it's just $26 with your YMCA membership, or $39 for non-members. You should probably sign up sooner than later so you can get to work on those pushups. Hey, at least they're not burpees.
