The internet went berserk a little while back when Popeyes unveiled their new chicken sandwich. Millions hailed it as the Next Great Chicken Sandwich, others claimed that the Chick-fil-A sandwich was better, and still others (like me) were just confused at the idea that Popeyes didn't have a chicken sandwich in the first place. They're a chicken restaurant! What took them so long?

In any case, demand for the sandwich was so huge that Popeyes actually RAN OUT and had to stop serving the sandwich (again, they're a chicken restaurant! How did they run out of chicken?). Fans have been waiting for the chicken sandwich to make its comeback ever since, and now they can rest easy: the Popeyes chicken sandwich will return on Sunday, November 3rd, nationwide.

And its release date is also taking a shot at their competition in Chick-fil-A, which is always closed on Sundays.
