(^^My artistic punkin carving buddy's Dave Grohl & Taylor Hawkins. Although he may have confused Taylor with Jesus, which is easy to do.)

What to do with your rotted jack-o-lanterns...some throw them in the dumpster, some leave them where they are until they're completely black and buried in snow and others smash them in the streets for a good laugh. There's a new option this year, although I can't personally promise not to throw mine in the street, I love smashing pumpkins. I do promise to scrape it up and throw it in my garden though.

Soil Cycle and Free Cycles are teaming up to pickup your nasty caved in punkins after Halloween is over. All pumpkins will be composted and the service is free but donations are appreciated, so they're going to need a lot of volunteers. The first Perished Pumpkin Pickup date is Saturday, November 3rd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the second is Saturday, November 10th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pumpkin pick up is limited to the valley floor in city limits, they're on bikes remember.

Soil Cycle is a primarily bicycle-powered residential and commercial food scrap and organic waste collection service in the Missoula area. Really great people, learn more about them here.
