Thank goodness for the Missoula PaddleHeads, they've honestly provided a good 50% of our summer fun during the pandemic. Let's show our appreciation by joining them for a river clean up day on August 30th at 10:30 a.m.

They're calling this their 1st annual, so I'm excited that they are going to make this an ongoing thing, even during non-pandemic years. Volunteers will meet at Ogren Park to receive supplies and river section assignments. Clean up will be followed with FREE Five on Black lunch at Ogren, with local beer and cider available for purchase. You can enjoy river documentaries on the big screen while you enjoy your well earned lunch, and prizes will be awarded for most weight of trash collected, and strangest item found.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear good walking shoes and maybe bring a bike/scooter/skateboard as your assignment may be a bit of a walk from the stadium, depending on what zone you get. Republic Services will be on hand to collect all of the trash picked up. Of course it's free to participate, but you must register so they know how many people to expect, here's the online registration form.
