Saturday from 10am-3pm we put on our first ever "Knock Out Fires" event with the help of our partners at Knockerball Missoula and the Missoula Indoor Sports Arena. The goal of the event was to raise as much money as possible to help the victims of the Wildfires that hit Montana this past summer, most specifically the Lolo Peak Fire and Rice Ridge Fire.

We started out the day with an unexpected line, which was amazing! We had over 150 people come participate in all the fun with lots of friends and family members watching the Knockerball fun. Also available at MISA at the same time was the Inflatapark which was another fun way for kids to get some energy out early on a Saturday morning.

It was also great to see a group of people come visit us from RIVER, so we had some Veterans on hand to join in on the fun and help us raise some money. Although the big donation came around 1pm when Ken Thurmond, General Manager of Missoula Nissan and Hyundai came by with a check donation of $7,800!

Thanks to that huge donation we cleared well over $8,000 for the whole event and we are getting ready to distribute the money to the Wildland Firefighters Foundation and the United Way of Missoula County! What a tremendous day it was for our community.
