Again this year, the Montana A Cappella Society will give the community a Christmas present of music Saturday with a free concert at the Hamilton High School Performing Arts Center. The evening will start at 7:30 p.m. December 15 with a selection of classical music from Bitterroot Baroque, featuring Ingrid Matthews of Seattle. The musicians will feature music from Percell, Biber, Corrette and Bach.

Then, the Montana A Cappella Society, under the direction of Don Matlock, will take to the stage with their musical journey through the many years of Christmas melodies. The group has been performing throughout the Christmas season, which has included caroling on the street corners in Hamilton and Stevensville. They are also raising money for a trip to Tuscany, Italy, where they have been invited to a choral festival next summer. Even though this concert is free to the public, there will be a place for donations if you'd like to help. The A Cappella Society will also be performing at the UM Recital Hall in Missoula at 7:30 p.m. during the New Year's Eve "First Night" activities December 31.
