No Fishing License Needed in Montana This Weekend

While the weekend weather forecast may not be screaming, "Let's go fishing," at least the price is right.

As a Father's Day gift to everybody, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is offering one of their annual Fish For Free weekends, June 16 - 17. If anyone who is normally required to have a fishing license has not purchased theirs yet, it's a great way to get the family outside together.

While the promotion allows anyone to fish without a license, all other fishing rules and regulations are in effect and must be followed. And of course, with many rivers across the state still experiencing spring runoff and flood conditions, we encourage all anglers to be aware of boating and water safety.

So, here's to all the dads. Have a great Father's Day and hopefully hook into a big one!
