Just after 12:30 a.m. on Monday, a Missoula Police Department officer was traveling on Russell Street and noticed a suspicious vehicle in a business parking lot. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.

“Given the hour of the night, the fact that the business was closed, and that no one else was around, the officer found that was a little odd and decided to check it out,” Welsh said. “He noted two individuals in the vehicle, both were males. He stopped behind the vehicle and made contact with both individuals. They were identified and the officer made observations that led him to believe that the two were engaged in drug activity.”

According to Welsh, the officer requested consent from the driver to search the vehicle.

“Consent was granted,” Welsh said. “During the course of that search, there was a small amount of a dangerous drug located as well as some paraphernalia. As a result, 20-year-old Noah Brown was placed under arrest for possession of dangerous drugs.”

The drug was later determined to be cocaine. The passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old Tyjah Sisler-Mack, was also arrested for felony probation violation.
