Most schools in Missoula and Ravalli Counties are not holding classes today, because of heavy amounts of snow and some drifting with wind in the northern parts of the area. However, The University of Montana is open for classes, according to an e-mail from Communications Director Paula Short:

"Classes will continue normally at the University of Montana for Tuesday, Feb. 26. Again, winter conditions have not canceled classes at UM. Students and employees are encouraged to give themselves more time to reach their destinations and dress appropriately."

Schools that are shut down due to the snow include Hamilton, Darby, Victor, Corvallis, Stevensville, Lone Rock, Florence-Carlton and Bitterroot College, and many schools in Missoula County.
