Montana Grizzly Football Adds Two Transfers

If size, speed and experience matter, the Montana Grizzly football team may have landed a couple of key transfers for the defensive unit.

Head coach Bobby Hauck announced that defensive end Joe Babros will join the Griz, transferring from North Carolina State, and Mason Vinyard, a rush linebacker will be joining Montana after transferring from Washington State.

Joe Babros is a 6-4, 250-pound defensive end, coming to UM after one season at NC State (under former Griz assistant and current Wolfpack head coach Dave Doran) and two years at Saddleback Junior College, where he was one of the top junior college prospects in the country.

Mason Vinyard, 6-5, 230, spent three years at Washington State. He only appeared in three games for the Cougars. Along with his daunting physical presence, he is blessed with fantastic speed.

One of the great things about both of these transfers is that they will each have two years of eligibility, coming in this fall as juniors. Welcome, guys, and best of luck!

ON A SIDE NOTE: TAKE A NAP!  When the Griz football team faces the Oregon Ducks in Eugene in week three of the season on September 14, it will be under the lights and will not kick off until 8:45 Mountain Time Saturday night.
