Teachers are always looking for out-of-classroom educational opportunities for their students, especially if expenses are minimal.

Well, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks may have something for you in the way of a field trip, as they would like to showcase a new education center. FWP is offering K-12 schools grant funds to visit the new Montana WILD Education Center, located at Spring Meadow Lake State Park in Helena.

Montana WILD lets visitors enjoy the state's outstanding fish and wildlife resources with exhibits, a live aquarium, outdoor picnic area and of course lots of educational information for kids and adults alike.

Teachers can find a number of Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks learning opportunities for their students by clicking here. Sure, the Montana WILD Education Center is a little ways from western Montana, but at least it might be worth putting on the planner and making inquiries for a springtime excursion. It sounds like a terrific venue.
