Early this morning, June 1, Elizabeth Lodahl was arrested by Missoula Police and charged with assault with a weapon, but the weapon in the case is unconventional.

"At 1:30 a.m. this morning, officers were called to a disturbance reported in the 3600 block of Stephens Avenue," said Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh. "Once there, they discovered that a female identified as Elizabeth Lodahl, was reported to have struck her common law husband with a cast iron frying pan, and then threatened him further."

The common law husband does not appear to have suffered life threatening injuries. This is also apparently not Lodahl's first run-in with the law.

"Mrs. Lodahl is 36 years of age and her spouse is 23," Welsh said. "Currently, Mrs. Lodahl is in custody for one count of Assault with a Weapon, which is a felony, one count of Partner or Family Member Assault, a misdemeanor, and failure to appear on other misdemeanor charges... which means she had a warrant out for her arrest."

Lodahl was placed in jail on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court later today.
