The Missoula City Fire Department was called out early this morning, October 24, after reports came in of a structure fire at a local trailer park.

"So at about 1:03 a.m. we had a dispatch for a structure fire at 1839 Sherwood Street, number 29," said Missoula City Fire Department Assistant Chief Brad Davis. "We responded with six units, about 14 firefighters and when they showed up, they found a fully involved shed and a single-wide trailer that had some smoke and fire showing."

Davis says it is still unclear exactly what caused the fire or if smoke detectors were working in the trailer, the good news is no one was injured.

"They made a quick knock-down of that fire and all the occupants were out of the structure, there were no injuries and the fire is still under investigation at this time," Davis said.

Davis says all people and pets were out of the trailer before fire fighters arrived on scene. The cost of the damage is estimated at $10,000.
