Just before 8 a.m. on Saturday, someone called 911 and reported two suspicious people near a home in the 1800 block of 35th street. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh says Missoula police officers responded to the report.

“When they initially arrived, there was no one around,” Welsh said. “The neighbor who called described a male and a female who had been walking around the house and a male appeared to have went inside at one point. The neighbor found this suspicious because, to their knowledge, the house was unoccupied and was for sale.”

A short time later, Welsh says the neighbor called police again and said the male and female returned to the home.

“The officers came back to the residence and discovered the pair out in front of the home,” Welsh said. “They made contact with them. The male was identified as 36-year-old Greggory Wagner and he was subsequently arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and a probation violation. He had drug paraphernalia and a substance that was later determined to be methamphetamine.”

Wagner is being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, felony probation violation, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
