COVID-19 really slowed everything down this year, and that includes the Missoula Public Library's transition to a new building. The plan originally was to have a big opening ceremony with a ton of people... and obviously, that wasn't going to happen. They were also aiming to be in the new building by July... and sure enough, that didn't happen either.

But things are just about ready and soon they'll be fully moved in to their new building on Main Street, across the street from their old building. But not everything will be moving with them, so right now in the old building they're actually selling a bunch of items that won't be making the move over.

That includes items like bookshelves, artwork, books, and more. They need to be rid of everything by the end of the month and all the money they gain from the sale will be used to benefit the new library. Doors will be open from 9 AM to 5 PM at the old building and you'll have until this Friday, September 25th, to stop by.

Will you be checking out the sale? Are you excited for the move into a new building? It's going to include a ton of new features, like the spectrUM Discovery Area and the Missoula Children's Museum, and with four floors to explore it's going to be exciting to finally see it in action.
