Just before 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Missoula police responded to the report of a male who had pointed a handgun at an employee of business in the 100 block of East Broadway. When officers arrived, Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh says the suspect had already left the area.

“One of the officers made contact with an employee of the business and stated that he had recognized the suspect from a previous theft case and had asked him to leave the property,” Welsh said. “He said that the male got up and began to walk away. He followed a short distance behind until the suspect male turned and pointed a handgun at him. He backed away and called 911.”

According to Welsh, the officer looked at surveillance video and was able to capture a still photo of the suspect. The officer sent the photo to all other officers in the area and to other local law enforcement agencies.

“The officers learned that a deputy spotted the suspect walking west bound on the interstate, just west of the Van Buren Street exit,” Welsh said. “One of the city officers went up there and made contact with them. He identified 34-year-old Bradley Moller, who was indeed carrying a dark colored airsoft pistol. He was taken into custody.”

Officers also discovered that Moller was in possession of glass pipes that are commonly used for smoking methamphetamine. Moller was charged with felony assault with a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal trespass to property.
