There are a few different markets held in downtown Missoula during the summer months. You've got your classic Farmer's Market at the XXXX's, and Clark Fork River Market east of Caras Park. The People's Market is the one at Higgins and Pine, between the Oxford and Sushi Hana.

The People's Market typically runs on Saturday mornings from May through September, but sadly, it has been cancelled for the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns. In a Facebook statement, we learned that the board of directors considered many different avenues to make the market work, but in the end, decided not to put the safety of the vendors and community in jeopardy.

It sounds like organizers are going to make it possible to order from vendors online. The People's Market is Missoula's handmade market, so we're talking about locally hand crafted things like jewelry, ceramics, leather goods, lawn art, paintings, photography, wood art, furniture and even clothing. Keep up to date with their Facebook page and support these local vendors if you can! I've always found success in finding unique gifts at this particular market, so keep an eye out.
