The Missoula Paddleheads have truly been playing some excellent baseball in their inaugural season - with 20 wins and only 6 losses so far this year, they're at the top of their division and tied for first place overall with the Ogden Raptors. If you haven't been to a game yet, it's definitely worth checking out - even if you're not into baseball as much, they've got tons of promotions and giveaways that they're doing almost every night over there.

And the reason the Paddleheads have been playing so well is because they've been attracting top talent, and when you attract top talent, Major League Baseball is going to take notice. Missoula Paddleheads pitcher Aaron Bash is leaving the team after his contract was picked up by the Toronto Blue Jays.

This actually isn't Bash's first brush with the MLB - he was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in 2019. Amazingly, Bash has only been in five games for the Paddleheads this season, so it didn't take long for the Angels to take notice.

There was a lot of talk this season about the Missoula Paddleheads and the Pioneer League as a whole losing their MLB affiliation and becoming an MLB Partner League this year, and there was a lot of confusion about what that actually meant. But it seems this is proof that Major League Baseball is still paying attention to what's going on out here in Missoula, which is a good thing.
