As anybody who lives here will tell you, the housing market in Missoula is pretty insane right now (this viral TikTok video explains it pretty well). Prices are going up as more and more people begin moving in from out of state, which can be rough for the locals who already live here - but for the people selling or renting out those properties, there's potential for a lot of money to be made.

"Flipping" a house is when you buy a house for relatively cheap, do some work on it, and then sell it for more than you paid for. It's a pretty difficult process, but depending on where you live, you could stand to make a lot of money doing it.

And if you live in Missoula, you're in luck - a new study from WalletHub showed that we're actually the number two city in the country to flip a house in right now. The only one that has us beat is Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

So how'd they come to that conclusion? Well, they looked at a variety of different factors that included market potential, the cost of remodeling, and quality of life in the area, which involves things like the local crime rate, quality of schools, unemployment rate, and more.

On the "flip" side of things - get it? - the worst place to flip a house right now is Newark, New Jersey. But that makes sense. I mean, who wants to live in New Jersey?
