The Missoula Urban Indian Health Center is hosting a two day film festival coming up in May.

The objective of this event is to acknowledge and honor the presence of our American Indian community within Missoula and Indigenous peoples across the world and to be witness to their resilience as a people as displayed through a contemporary medium of storytelling.

The Indigenous Film Festival begins on Friday, May 18th at 5 p.m. and continues on Saturday, May 19th. Features include Indigenous dramas & documentaries, local shorts and panelist-led audience conversations. Traditional food will be available and tribal artwork will be on display.

Admission is $5 per day or a donation of goods for the Missoula Food Bank and the fest will be held at the MCT. Get more info on the Facebook event page.

On a side note, my wonderful mom has been invited to share her own story of healing and I could not be more proud of her, love you mom!
