I think it's safe to say that Missoula has the creme de la creme when it comes to first responders! Not only do these men and women risk their lives on a daily basis, but many are going far beyond the call of duty!

Being a police officer and/or a firefighter requires a high level of physical fitness. Most Missoula first responders take their health extremely seriously because let's be honest, in their line of work it could be the difference between life or death.

This brings me to the tale of Andy Drobeck. According to the Missoulian, Andy is a Missoula firefighter and a low key triathlete on the side. And by low key triathlete, I mean that he just obliterated the Guinness Book of World Records for the fastest 1-mile run in full firefighting uniform. The competition was apart of the Missoula Mile's first responders race.

What was his time you might ask?

The Missoulian reported that our very own Andy Drobeck completed the mile in 6 minutes and 8 seconds therefore smashing the previous world record of 6 minutes and 43 seconds!!!

Like seriously?! How can this guy be real?

Thankfully there's video proof of the man the myth the legend that is 35-year-old Andy Drobeck, otherwise I would have placed him in the Sasquatch and leprechaun category...
