The Missoula County Attorney’s Office filed nine new complaints this week. County Attorney Kirsten Pabst explains.

“Four of those involved family crimes and family violence,” Pabst said. “There was one partner of family member assault third offense and a strangulation case that also involved assault on a peace officer. There was another strangulation case and then we filed a stalking case involving allegations between a brother and a sister.”

According to Pabst, there were several crimes that fell under the endangerment category as well.

“We filed a new complaint alledging three counts of child endangerment,” Pabst said. “There was a felony DUI that involved a combination of drugs on board while driving. A complaint was filed where a man was charged with burglary and then there were two methamphetamine cases.”

In one of the drug cases, the defendant was arrested and methamphetamine was allegedly located in her undergarment during a booking search. Pabst says her office was reviewing an additional six cases Friday morning.
