Missoula County seems to have had a lot less crime than normal this past week with just 11 felony cases filed by the County Attorney’s Office. Deputy County Attorney Jason Marks says there did appear to be a theme in the cases that were handled though.

"There were two possession of methamphetamine cases with intent to distribute, a couple simple possession cases, a couple burglaries and a robbery involving a gentleman robbing his drug dealer to get methamphetamine," Marks said. "There is kind of a theme running through the week, but in terms of volume it is not as bad as some weeks have been."

One of the highlights for the week was the low number of persons crimes.  Whereas Missoula often has two strangulation cases or more per week, this past week there were none. The two persons crimes that did occur were a robbery and a burglary that involved a physical attack.
