Missoula Costco Has Started Their Latest In-Store Remodel Project
Since the summer of 2021, the Missoula Costco has been in the process of undergoing modifications, upgrades, and improvements to both the inside and outside of the building. The old Summit Beverage that sat next door was demolished and the space was turned into additional Costco parking. And back in early February, the store started using a newly built entrance that was also accompanied by various changes to the inside, including the food court area being removed. Now, as I saw during my weekend visit to Costco, various work is still being done but there's another improvement project that has just gotten underway.
As you can see, work is still ongoing outside of Costco. In the picture above, the old parking lot has been torn up in various locations. And in the picture below, construction continues where the food court was once located.
The next upgrade that's taking place inside of Costco will see an overhaul of the frozen food section. As I rounded a corner to head down the last frozen aisle.....I quickly realized that the aisle no longer exists. I was instead greeted by a sign that outlined the details of the remodel. I do have to say I like the part that says they'll have more products than before!
The first picture below shows a row of freezers that have been moved to an area that never had freezers before. And the next two pictures are the fenced area where freezers used to be.
I'm not sure what the final plans call for, and it might be a bit of an inconvenience for a while as they work on revamping the freezer section. But so far the other improvements have turned out great and I would expect this project to be no different once it's completed.
