Do you look at those "nutrition labels" when you buy your food or drink your soft drink? Well, you should. It would probably make you think twice about your consumption habits.

Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital will have a free class on understanding what those labels (in their own obscure way) are telling you. The "Learning Your Labels and Rethinking Your Drink" seminar will be Thursday, April 12, at the hospital. Registered dietitian Janelle Campbell will actually show you the amounts of sugar and other ingredients like salt go into your foods. The class is one hour long, starting at 5:30 p.m. Use the Main Entrance to the Hamilton hospital and head to the conference room.

By the way, if you go early, starting at 4:45 p.m., you'll get a sample of flavored infused water. The Thursday session is the last of this year's annual "season" of classes of Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. More classes will be coming later.
