36 year-old Bradley Lane was arrested early Tuesday morning by Missoula Police after being stopped for having an expired drivers license, however, a felony charge was filed after he was taken to the jail.

Missoula Police Department Public Information Officer Travis Welsh provides details.

“Officers instituted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of North Avenue West, and identified the driver as 36 year-old Bradley Lane,” said Welsh. “It was discovered that Mr. Lane was driving with a suspended license and subsequent to that, Mr. Lane was placed under arrest and transported to the Missoula County Detention Center.”

Welsh said what police found led to more charges.

“Upon searching the suspect, officers found that there was a small baggie hidden in his mouth,” he said. “Test revealed that the baggie contained methamphetamine residue and so Mr. Lane is now being held for more than just a misdemeanor charge of driving with s suspended license, but also with tampering with physical evidence, a felony.”

Lane is being held on $10,000 bond and will appear in Missoula Justice Court.
