I have a two-year-old and an almost 6-year-old at home. It's been a bit rough to keep them entertained now that we've hit the cold weather part of the pandemic. At least during the summer we could go outside and get a little fresh air. It's been a bit tougher for me to talk them into bike rides around the neighborhood when the frost is forming on the tips of their noses.

If you have smaller kids at home you're probably going through the same thing - you've played with everything in your collection of toys and games and you're trying to find something that'll keep them entertained for twenty minutes. I saw some Santa plate pottery on the ZACC Facebook page and thought it looked pretty cool.

That should make for some holiday family fun! You can spend some time doing a project together - and Santa gets to eat cookies off a fancy new plate - everybody wins! Plus, it's pretty awesome that they'll deliver all the materials to you. I think we're going to order a couple of different ones for a little weekend fun.

All you need to know about making Santa plates with paint-your-own-pottery can be found below and at the ZACC website.

Santa is super busy this year, but he's made time in his crazy schedule to do special, socially distanced, HOME DELIVERIES of paint-your-own-pottery from the ZACC — using the brand new ZACC VAN (it works better than his sleigh to transport breakables). Purchase a Santa Plate Package, and any other take-home PYOP pieces, through our online shop from December 4 through December 11, and Santa will deliver your order on Saturday, December 12 or Sunday, December 13. Just specify a date and morning or afternoon at checkout. This might be your only chance to see Santa in person this year, unless you stay up all night on Christmas Eve. Don’t miss out!

1. Purchase a Santa Plate Package (and other take-home PYOP if desired) online, December 4-11
2. Santa will home-deliver your pottery on Saturday, December 12 or Sunday, December 13 (Choose a date and morning or afternoon at check-out)
3. Return your pieces to the ZACC by December 21 AT THE LATEST to make sure they are fired and ready to be picked-up by Christmas Eve!

PLEASE NOTE that Santa can only deliver in the local Missoula area
