For little kids first learning to skate to adults who would like to learn or improve, the Missoula Figure Skating Club has instruction for everyone.

The Club asked us to get the word out about their Learn to Skate winter schedule set for Saturdays, January 23 through March 13, at the Glacier Ice Rink located at the Missoula Fairgrounds. While membership is not required for Learn to Skate classes, the do offer Club Members opportunities to develop skills quickly through Skating School, Power Skating classes and many more. They describe themselves as a supportive group of fellow skaters of all ages and abilities.

By joining the Missoula Figure Skating Club, you do get the opportunity to enjoy exclusive ice time and special programming to pursue your love of figure skating. A portion of Missoula Figure Skating Club's membership fee is remitted to United States Figure Skating. Each member will receive a membership card from USFS and each family will receive a copy of Skating magazine. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to become MFSC members because your skater’s progress and the success of the club are dependent on the involvement of our adult voting members.

But perhaps the first step before joining is just getting yourself or your youngsters comfortable with the Learn to Skate program. The Missoula Figure Skating Club features a number of wonderful instructors. Oh, and by the way, if you are a skilled figure skater, they say they could always use a couple more instructors.

Just like everything else, the Club and Glacier Ice Rink do have some COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions in place. You can find out about those, instruction rates, available ice times, other member benefits and lots more here.
