The Missoula Cultural Council is looking for outgoing, talented local artists to participate in The Last Best Solstice: Art on the River, a celebration of visual art and artists occurring on the Clark Fork Riverfront Trail on Sunday, June 21. This year’s event features a pop up riverfront gallery and artist showcase from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on the longest day of the year. Local artists and galleries will line the riverbanks in downtown Missoula through the day. Original works will be on sale as talented local artists share their unique process through live art creation and one-of-a-kind demonstrations.

Artists are needed to create art throughout the day or provide a demo of their specific process. Visual artists working in all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Participating artists and galleries will be provided with space to create and sell art throughout the day. MCC will handle sales in order to provide artists with more time to create art and engage the public.

All participating artists will receive 80% of sales.

All proposals are due April 30, 2015.  Notification of acceptance by May 8, 2015.

Applications and guidelines are available here.
