For the second year in a row, the Hamilton High School team was the winner of the High School division of the recent Science Olympiad at the MSU campus in Bozeman and have earned the opportunity to go Nationals in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2020. Hamilton was first with a score of 85, followed by Helena High with 109 and Capital High with 123. Hamilton School District's "Bronc Nation News" reported that there were five Individual State Champions - Colin Hanley in both Anatomy and Sounds of Music categories, Nathan Schwartz in Sounds of Music, Oscar Repetto in Anatomy, Sam Duerr in Gravity Vehicle and McKayl Bailey in Wright Stuff.

Also placing in the competition - Oscar Repetto, 2nd in GeoLogic Mapping; Peyton Haddock, 3rd in Boomilever; Hunter Bonnes, 4th in Detector Building; Harley Robertson, 4th in Gravity Vehicle; Logan King, 5th in Chem Lab; Olivia Burns and Molly Craig, 5th in Write It, Do It; Cadogan Wheat, 6th in Protein Modeling; Derek Twardoski, 7th in Wright Stuff; Fern Stewart, 10th in Experimental Design; Sofie Lewanski, 11th in Fossils; Andrew Searle, 11th in Water Quality; Tucker Belander, 15th in Astronomy.

JV team members who placed in the various competitions were: Bella Barber and AJ McWhirter, Em Courchesne, Kenzie Rogers, Dawson Berglund, Athalia Vallejo, Cheyenne London, Collin Shook, Isaac Harmon, Zsomi Kari, Elijah Vallejo and Cole Kimzey. Head coach was Deitrich Perchy and Assistant Coaches were Jonathon Driggers and Michael Bonnes.
