Tickets are now on sale for Philipsburg's annual fundraiser summer concert, coming up Saturday, August 17 from noon - 7:00.

This year, Philipsburg Rotary is partnering with University of Montana Grizzly Athletics and Grizzly Scholarship Association to expand the appeal of the concert and its fundraising targets. Tickets are $25 and available here.

Greg Sundberg, Executive Director of the Grizzly Scholarship Association, says some of their major donors have also been involved with the Philipsburg event and its Rotary. They told them what a terrific family event they put on and what an effective fundraiser it has been. So, a partnership was formed.

The two non-profits will split the revenue from ticket sales, with half going to Grizzly athletic scholarships and the other half to the Rotary Club for Granite County charities.

ITINERARY:

Gates open at 11:00 a.m. Concert starts at noon with Ryan Chrys and the Rough Cuts from Denver.  They will be followed by Missoula's Shakewell, then Home Cookin', a cover band from Butte. Bozeman's Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs will close the show from 5:30 - 7:00.

The arena's capacity is limited to 3,000 and organizers expect ticket sales to be brisk. The arena is a terraced grassy sidehill so you are encouraged to bring you own blanket or lawn chairs. The venue also features a brand new stage and there will be plenty of food and beverage vendors.

If you'd like more info on the event, you can visit the Phiipsburg Rotary concert page.

It promises to be a late-summer hoot!
